Career Goal Setting that is Authentic, Purpose-Driven, and Effective

Many professionals set goals that look good on paper but feel disconnected in practice—goals shaped by external expectations, fear, or comparison rather than personal values and purpose.

In this interactive session, Gorett Reis draws on her experience as a certified career and life coach to help participants step back and reassess how and why they set goals in the first place.

Grounded in her own career transition from teaching into coaching, Gorett brings a candid, practical perspective on what it means to pursue work that is both meaningful and sustainable. She will guide participants through a structured reflection on authenticity, fulfillment, and direction, helping them distinguish between goals they should want and goals that genuinely align with who they are and where they want to go.

By clarifying what truly matters, participants will learn how to translate purpose into focused priorities and realistic action plans. The session blends reflection with practical frameworks, enabling attendees to leave with greater clarity, renewed motivation, and a more effective approach to planning their next career and life steps.

Gorett Reis, Career and Life Coach, M. Ed.

Gorett Reis is a certified life coach, career coach, and speaker. She works with professionals who are fed up with the direction of their career and lives. Generally, clients of hers are seeking clarity, a better direction, more financial security, and fulfillment. Her clients range from actors to executives. She got into coaching after a dissatisfying career in teaching and now helps others find or develop something more fulfilling in their career and lives. She has three degrees from the University of Toronto, has traveled to over 30 countries, speaks about career and life fulfillment, plays pickleball, and continues to develop both personally and professionally.

How to Build a GREAT Resume, Career Positioning, and Personal Branding, for Project Managers, Leaders, and Executives

FACT: Over 80% of resumes recruiters see are considered poor. In today’s competitive market, “good enough” doesn’t get interviews—great does.

In this session Ross Macpherson, Certified Personal Branding Strategist, Certified Online Identity Strategist, Certified Interview Coach, and one of the very best resume and LinkedIn profile writers in North America, will deliver an advanced, no-nonsense session on resume strategy that goes far beyond formatting tips or generic advice. Drawing on deep experience as one of North America’s top resume writers and career experts, this session breaks down what actually works with real examples, samples, and proven techniques.

You’ll learn how to think about your resume as a strategic marketing document, not a job history, including how to clearly articulate your value, differentiate yourself from similar candidates, and write accomplishment statements that command attention. This is especially valuable for professionals considering a career change, leadership progression, or executive-level positioning.

Expect practical insights, advanced tactics, and a session that will likely change how you look at your resume forever.
